If All You’re Bringing is Buns To The Table Your Time Is Limited

This post is not gender specific. Both genders are guilty of the main point in this post.

Eastern North Carolina’s  101.9 Hip Hop DJ Dj Blaq recently got a very interesting discussion going on his radio show about people who are holding relationships together with booty and not much else.

The title of this post is the exact phrase Blaque used to solicit his listener’s opinion’s on the topic.

“If All You’re Bringing To The Table is Buns Then Your Time Is Limited”.

It’s a true statement that lands at the feet of a lot of folks that don’t want to admit that they’re in relationships that are glued together by ass.

Damn Gee – ease up. Hey – Hard Liquor goes down hard.

Peep this. One of the comments toward the topic straight ripped the covers off the truth and the inevitable outcome of relationships that  are predicated on “buns”.

The comment was,

“Buns are like toys. When you first give them to someone they’re new, different, and exciting. If that’s all there is they’re played with for a while then cast aside. Like a toy that a kid is tired of, they get ignored, stepped on, broken, and eventually forgotten.”

If you think about the  correlation of a sex-based relationship to  children and toys you get a “wow” moment.

Now if your thing is to dibble and dabble in lightweight hoeism (Thanks Zolarmoon) then do your thing. I don’t knock anyone’s hustle.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for a full bodied rewarding long term relationship – you’re going to have to bring some dimension and substance to the table with those buns.

Think about it.

I'm a curious one that finds politics, social issues, and diverse progressive solutions interesting. I believe information and education are the most powerful weapons one can arm himself with. Those two dynamics alone open the doors to opportunities. I also subscribe to each one teach one for a better world for all.
