Is Former Baltimore Raven Ray Rice Broke?

The website has him listed as 20 NFL players who had it all then lost it all.

Here is the excerpt under his photo in their gallery of NFL’s biggest losers.

Ray Rice was boasting a successful career with the Baltimore Ravens as their second all-time leading rusher when he was arrested for assaulting his then-fiancee. Once the Ravens got wind of his history of domestic violence, they released him from the team and the NFL suspended him indefinitely. With all of the money he made previously tied up in legal fees and penalties, Ray Rice is now broke and jobless, although he somehow retained the girl.

If Ray Rice is broke he would have to have blown through at the least 24 million dollars.

Even with high-end lawyers snipping at that kind of mullah some would think that Rice wouldn’t be broke.

Hold that thought.

Consider this.

Financial peons like me and you tend to look at the mega bucks these millionaire athletes make while not remembering that the more money you make the more money you spend. That’s the law of the money making land.

Just like our lifestyle, living accommodations, and overall quality of life is parallel with our financial worth, Ray Rice is no different.

Rice just made more money than most of us. That translates to Rice spending more money than all of us.

When the Ravens released him on September 8, 2014 because he assaulted who was then his girlfriend and now his wife Jenay Rice , Ray’s mega income was terminated. Ray’s mega financial obligations were not terminated.

My final thoughts on the claim that Ray Rice is broke is this.

If he is not broke, unless he has some savy investments the media hounds haven’t sniffed out, he soon may be robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I'm a curious one that finds politics, social issues, and diverse progressive solutions interesting. I believe information and education are the most powerful weapons one can arm himself with. Those two dynamics alone open the doors to opportunities. I also subscribe to each one teach one for a better world for all.
