South Carolina’s Primary and the Last Minute Push for the Black Vote – News & Views – EBONY

One of the most important things to remember about the 2016 election is that the Black vote is not exclusive to one party or another. On the contrary, the Black vote is available to any Presidential candidate who can convince the Black voters that they are the best candidate to fight for resolutions of the issues affecting the Black community.

The South Carolina Democratic Primary is where the 2016 democratic Presidential hopefuls will have to win over a state where  the  majority of the voters will be Black.

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are vying heavily for African American support. The one that wins the Black vote is the one that gets closer  to a 4-year mortgage free stay at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C.

The South Carolina Democratic Primary can be the litmus test that pinpoints the issues and strategies work best in attracting Black voters. I'm a curious one that finds politics, social issues, and diverse progressive solutions interesting. I believe information and education are the most powerful weapons one can arm himself with. Those two dynamics alone open the doors to opportunities. I also subscribe to each one teach one for a better world for all.
