Bring That Old Truck Sitting in Your Yard Inside

Rusted Out Truck

If you go anywhere in rural America you’re going to see some rusted old vehicles dotting the landscape. The majority of these vehicles will be in residential yards. I never figured out why folks just let old inoperable vehicles sit in their yards and rust away. It seems to me the vehicle finally quit when they got it home and that’s where they left it.

The vehicle could be taken to a salvage yard for some money in return, sold to an interested auto restorer or refurbished by the owner. However for some folks they just prefer to let the vehicle languish away in their yard.

It seems to me it’s as if when the vehicle finally quit they got it home and that’s where they left it.

For those folks that have old pickups marinating in a sea of grass outside your home let me suggest that you bring it in the house and make good use of it. No, I’m not crazy or drunk (yet).

Pickup trucks have beds. Beds belong in the house, not in the yard. Here is where I’m going with this.

If you’re trying to to find something to do with Grandpa’s antiquated broken down 1950’s whip here is an idea.

You could use the front to make yourself a mad cool desk.

Maybe you need some bunk beds.

This is just a start on what you can hack that old truck outside in your yard into.

If  anyone has hacked a truck into something else do tell in the comment section and by all means drop pictures.
